The range of soil, solid fertilisers and liquid fertilisers comprises raw materials and packaging that have been recycled. The BaumarktManager trade journal has named öko balance Product of the Year.
2019UNDERGREEN by COMPO and brand relaunch
The new UNDERGREEN by COMPO brand is aimed specifically at young plant lovers and offers easy-to-use organic products for non-flowering plants, cacti and food crops. In addition, the redesigned brand image of COMPO SANA® potting soils provides a modern, emotional look and stronger differentiation.
2018Return to B2B business and Brand of the Century
COMPO re-enters the professional sector with its newly created network of companies, COMPO Professional, following the acquisition and incorporation of several international fertiliser companies. Another highlight is COMPO SANA® potting soil being named 'Brand of the Century' by the German ZEIT publishing house.
2017Development of Asian markets
COMPO opens its first distribution company in Shanghai. COMPO serves the skyrocketing demand for high-quality plant care products in Asia through e-commerce and with its own shop-in-shop system in Beijing.
2016Acquisition by Kingenta and new dual leadership
COMPO is acquired by the international Kingenta Group, one of the largest manufacturers and developers of speciality fertilisers. The company has been managed by CEO Stephan Engster and CFO Fan Zhang ever since.
