COMPO is recognized as by far the most sustainable brand in the garden care category, setting the benchmark for all companies surveyed and being named the industry winner for sustainability

COMPO SANA^® quality potting soil impresses plant and garden owners – and the jury of the German ZEIT pub lishing house. This COMPO classic has been recognized as 'Brand of the Century' for many years in succession.

 

COMPO is among the top ten product brands in Germany. In 2021, COMPO is ranked 6^th in the 'Best Brand Overall' category by the renowned Best Brands marketing award.

For more than 79 years, COMPO Blaukorn^® - a garden fertilizer – has been convincing consumers with its excellent effectiveness and simple and universal application. In 2023, it is time to break new ground: With the ‘COMPO BIO Blaudünger’, COMPO is transferring the positive and learned properties of the traditional product to organic quality and providing a product innovation. The renowned trade magazine BamarktManager awards the COMPO BIO blue fertiliser as product of the year 2022/2023. The innovative new product convinces the jury of experts and is the winner in the garden category. 

COMPO organic & recycled [organic & recyclé; öko balance] is an integral concept for eco-friendly plant care, with both the contents and the packaging consisting of reusable raw materials. Available internationally and pioneering across the industry, this product line is also named 'Product of the Year' in 2020.

At the renowned TASPO Awards, COMPO won over the expert jury, receiving the award for COMPO BIO GRANUPLANT^® in the 'Best Product Idea B2C' category. The jury was especially impressed by the sustainability of the product and the excellent drainage properties of GRANUPLANT®.

More than 60% of the packaging used for COMPO SANA^® soils consists of recycled plastic sourced from post-consumer plastic waste. A development which contributes to reducing the carbon footprint sets standards in the industry, once again impressing the jury in the 'Sustainability' category.

All COMPO liquid fertiliser containers consist of at least 90 % recycled materials. A decision that brings many benefits for the environment, which also impressed the jury of the German Packaging Award in 2018. COMPO receives an award in the 'Sustainability' category for the switch to recycled materials.

The urban gardening display made of real wood in the euro-pallet look impresses the jury as an integral and high-quality concept in the 'Presentation of Goods' category. The presentation of the goods skilfully combines the requirements of DIY, urban gardening and sustainability, and puts an innovation on the market in 2018.

Together with 'Kunststoff Recycling Grünstadt', the recycled content of the liquid fertiliser bottle was increased to 100 %. This won over the jury of experts at the 'Plastics Recycling Awards 2023', who honoured the bottles with the award in the 'Plastic Packaging Product' category.

The exacting quality standards of COMPO products are also recognised internationally. In 2023, COMPO was honoured at the C de Comunicación Awards with the prize for Innovation and Quality in the Fertilisers and Plant Protection Products category.

The JARDINPLUS Award recognises the best garden supplier in France every year. Extensive criteria such as innovation, logistics, communication and customer service are taken into account and in 2023 'Algoflash Engrais bleu' was honoured with the JARDINPLUS Award in gold. In addition to the gold award, COMPO was also delighted to receive the silver award for 'Algoflash Engrais Portager' and the bronze award in the biocides category.
