2022Heinr. Propfe Chem. Fabrik GmbH becomes part of COMPO
COMPO acquires all the shares in Heinr. Propfe Chem. Fabrik GmbH. The highly specialised company stands for extraordinary expertise in the organic fertiliser segment. Incorporation into the COMPO Group is a further step in the context of the defined sustainability strategy, making a valuable contribution to the expansion of our eco-sustainable product range. The company name will change to Propfe GmbH following integration.
2022Integration of Störk GmbH
COMPO is integrating Störk GmbH, which has been producing more than 400 products including peat-free and peat-reduced soils, mulches and biofilters for over 20 years. Apart from developing and manufacturing eco-sustainable products, regional production lies at the heart of the integration.
2021Collaboration with RETERRA
COMPO and RETERRA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of REMONDIS and leading specialist in organic raw materi-als, have entered into a long-term co-operation agreement on the development and production of sustainable raw materials and fertilisers. The focus of the partnership is on developing products from recycled raw materials and the recycling of packaging.
2021Acquisition by Duke Street
COMPO has been part of Duke Street since 2021. Duke Street has been investing in medium-sized enterprises in western Europe with a focus on the consumer, healthcare, industry and service sectors for more than 25 years.
2019Commissioning of new liquid fertiliser plant
The new liquid fertiliser plant at the main site in Münster, which was put into operation in 2019, facilitates an ex-panded production range. From now on, organic, organo-mineral and mineral fertilisers can be produced with state-of-the-art equipment.
2018Realignment of the brand
The realignment of the brand, which is clearly directed at the new requirements of retailers and hobby gardeners, took place in 2018: COMPO boasts a modernised brand identity going forward and revolutionises its communication in the process.
2017Site expansion and development of Asian markets
The main site in Münster is expanded by additional grounds of 30,000 m2 to a total of 90,000 m2. In the same year, COMPO opens its first distribution company in Shanghai. COMPO serves the skyrocketing demand for high-quality plant care products in Asia through e-commerce and with its own shop-in-shop system in Beijing.
