COMPO achieves EcoVadis Gold status

EcoVadis - What's behind it

EcoVadis is one of the world‘s leading providers of sustainability ratings. The sector-specific assessment is based on a structured, data-driven process in the four key areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. EcoVadis takes into account internationally recognised standards from the Global Reporting Initiative, UN Global Compact and the ISO 26000 standard. The EcoVadis rating is based exclusively on reliable information from verified sources, including internal company documents, certificates from third-party companies and publicly available data. Since the revision of the medal system in 2024, Gold status has only been awarded to companies that are among the top five per cent of all companies assessed.

Significance for COMPO

COMPO has been pursuing a group-wide sustainability strategy for years. With the achievement of key milestones as part of COMPO‘s ESG programme and Green Leadership pledge, COMPO has received an overall score of 96 out of a possible 100 percent from EcoVadis and excellent ratings in the four key areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The most recent initiatives include the SBTi validation of the group-wide climate targets, the second sustainability declaration in accordance with the German Sustainability Code standard and the establishment of environmental and occupational health and safety management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
