COMPO achieves EcoVadis Gold status

EcoVadis: What lies behind it
EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of sustainability ratings. The sector-specific assessment is carried out using a structured, data-driven process across the four key areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. In doing so, EcoVadis takes into account internationally recognised standards from the Global Reporting Initiative, the UN Global Compact and the ISO 26000 standard. The EcoVadis assessment is based exclusively on reliable information from verified sources, including internal company documents, third-party certificates and publicly available data. Since the revision of the medal system in 2024, Gold status has been awarded exclusively to companies that rank among the top five per cent of all assessed firms.

 

Significance for COMPO
COMPO pursues a group-wide sustainability strategy and brings together the relevant targets and measures in its ESG programme. In the latest EcoVadis rating, COMPO achieved an overall score of 96 out of 100 points.

Measures implemented by COMPO in recent years include the SBTi validation of group-wide climate targets, the second sustainability statement in accordance with the DNK standard, and the establishment of environmental and occupational health and safety management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. The EcoVadis result provides COMPO with an external assessment of its activities in the areas examined by EcoVadis, thereby complementing the existing tools used to document the company’s sustainability activities.

 

Another milestone in COMPO’s ESG programme
Environmental and social issues, as well as responsible corporate governance, are integral parts of COMPO’s corporate strategy. As part of its ESG programme, the company is working to implement defined targets and measures within the group and to document their progress in a transparent manner. Independent assessments and established standards play a key role in this. They provide additional transparency for COMPO, as well as for business partners and customers, regarding the topics and measures assessed. COMPO’s current EcoVadis Gold status is therefore a further milestone within the company’s ESG programme.
