Münster (April 2026) – COMPO is presenting its “Best Supplier Award” for the first time. With this new award, the company recognises suppliers that stand out through exceptional commitment, high reliability and a spirit of partnership. The first recipient is FormiChem GmbH from Neuburg an der Donau.

New award strengthens collaborative partnerships within the supply chain

With the Best Supplier Award, COMPO is introducing an award that highlights achievements going beyond the established standard processes of supplier evaluation. “Regular assessments carried out as part of quality management in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 reflect important minimum standards, but they do not capture the additional requirements arising from an increasingly complex market environment,” explains Michael Düsener, Head of Purchase at COMPO. The new award therefore also takes into account aspects such as flexibility, willingness to take responsibility, additional support services, and contributions to ensuring security of supply and planning reliability – factors that are becoming increasingly important across industries today, as is once again being made abundantly clear by the current crises in the Middle East.

FormiChem receives first award as best supplier

The first company to receive the Best Supplier Award is FormiChem, a contract manufacturer specialising for COMPO in the processing, filling and packaging of plant protection and plant care products. “For years, FormiChem has demonstrated what reliable and forward-looking collaboration can look like – and in doing so has contributed to our success,” says Stephan Engster, CEO of COMPO. “This long-standing, above-average commitment is both an incentive and an obligation for both sides. We would like to honour this achievement with the award.”
