COMPO Once Again Recognized for Best Value in Garden Care

Münster (October 2026) – For the third year in a row, COMPO has taken the top spot for value for money in garden care: The leading provider of branded products for indoor and outdoor plants has once again been named the value-for-money winner in 2026. In the study conducted by DEUTSCHLAND TEST, the market research institute ServiceValue, and FOCUS MONEY, COMPO once again scored 100 points, securing the top spot in the garden care category. COMPO Named Best Value for Money for Three Consecutive Years COMPO was already recognized for offering the best value for money in garden care in 2024 and 2025. This top ranking in 2026 continues that streak and reaffirms the company’s commitment to offering high-quality products at fair prices. “Being named the value-for-money winner three times in a row is a special validation for us,” says Andreas Rutsch, CEO of COMPO. “Consumers rightly expect high quality at a fair price. That is exactly what we aim to offer with our products every day. Especially in a challenging market environment, a compelling value-for-money ratio is particularly important for consumers and retailers alike. The fact that COMPO has once again achieved the top spot confirms that we are on the right track and serves as an incentive to continue on this path consistently.” Focus on Quality and Fair Pricing COMPO offers a wide range of products for caring for plants in the home and garden, from potting soil and fertilizers to lawn seed, as well as pest control and plant protection products. The company combines its commitment to high product quality with a compelling value proposition, consistent customer focus, and strong innovative capabilities. “An excellent value for money is a key factor in purchasing decisions today and is therefore also of great importance to our retail partners,” says Andrea Strein, CSO of COMPO. “Our goal is to win over consumers with strong products and innovative solutions while offering retailers an attractive product range.” Comprehensive Analysis Confirms Leading Position For the “Price Winners 2026” study, approximately 73 million mentions of about 18,000 companies and brands were analyzed over the period from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2026. As part of a social listening analysis, the study’s researchers analyzed public perception in the areas of price and overall impression. Both the tone and the reach of the mentions were taken into account. In total, the data set includes, among other things, tens of thousands of online news articles and several million social media posts. The top-ranked company in each industry receives 100 points, thereby setting the benchmark for all other companies and brands examined. In the garden care category, COMPO once again achieved the maximum score of 100 points, securing first place.

COMPO presents its first-ever “Best Supplier Award”

Münster (April 2026) – COMPO is presenting its “Best Supplier Award” for the first time. With this new award, the company recognises suppliers that stand out through exceptional commitment, high reliability and a spirit of partnership. The first recipient is FormiChem GmbH from Neuburg an der Donau. New award strengthens collaborative partnerships within the supply chain With the Best Supplier Award, COMPO is introducing an award that highlights achievements going beyond the established standard processes of supplier evaluation. “Regular assessments carried out as part of quality management in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 reflect important minimum standards, but they do not capture the additional requirements arising from an increasingly complex market environment,” explains Michael Düsener, Head of Purchase at COMPO. The new award therefore also takes into account aspects such as flexibility, willingness to take responsibility, additional support services, and contributions to ensuring security of supply and planning reliability – factors that are becoming increasingly important across industries today, as is once again being made abundantly clear by the current crises in the Middle East. FormiChem receives first award as best supplier The first company to receive the Best Supplier Award is FormiChem, a contract manufacturer specialising for COMPO in the processing, filling and packaging of plant protection and plant care products. “For years, FormiChem has demonstrated what reliable and forward-looking collaboration can look like – and in doing so has contributed to our success,” says Stephan Engster, CEO of COMPO. “This long-standing, above-average commitment is both an incentive and an obligation for both sides. We would like to honour this achievement with the award.” “Over recent months, FormiChem has impressively demonstrated how to adapt successfully to new market requirements. With great flexibility, strong performance and a pronounced customer focus, the company has made a committed contribution to success and customer satisfaction – for us, for our retail partners and for our consumers. This is exactly the kind of attitude we want to highlight with the Best Supplier Award,” Michael Düsener adds. With the introduction of the Best Supplier Award, COMPO is sending a strong signal in favour of sustainable, long-term partnerships along the value chain and drawing attention to exceptional commitment that goes beyond merely meeting standards. This year’s award winner was officially honoured at an event held at COMPO on 26 April 2026.
